Simon Says with Simon Porte Jacquemus and Nicole Phelps
Simon Porte Jacquemus Creative Director, Jacquemus
Nicole Phelps Director, Vogue Runway
10:10 AM

Simon Porte Jacquemus has been a singular voice ever since he first burst onto the scene, then barely in his twenties, some fifteen years ago. His enthralling work since then has been marked by his huge and warm embrace of Frenchness—particularly that of his native Provence—and his ability to turn out the kind of fashion capable of setting the world alight. (Hello, micro purses!) Jacquemus has been just as determinately individualistic about his shows, setting them everywhere from Provencal lavender fields to Mediterranean cliff tops. Now he’s gearing up for what’s next—and, needless to say, he’s thinking globally. Where’s he going, exactly? Director of Vogue Runway, Nicole Phelps finds out.

Queering the Runway with Honey Dijon, Raul Lopez, and Jeremy O. Harris
Honey Dijon Grammy Award Winning Artist, Fashion Designer,
Raul Lopez Designer, LUAR
Jeremy O. Harris Playwright,
10:45 AM

Fashion shows have always assumed huge power in LGBTQIA+ communities, speaking as they do to notions of creation, representation, community, and the most fabulous and fearless version(s) of yourself. What started with the ball culture of Vogueing decades ago—heady days which showed the power and glory of being able to walk your dreams—has been building more and more every year since, with the fashion world hugely benefiting from all sorts of queer creativity. Luar founder and designer Raul Lopez and Honey Dijon—the internationally renowned DJ, musician, model, muse, and designer (her label is Honey F*cking Dijon)—speak about how the runway can also be your very own pathway.

1:05 PM

Vogue has had plenty of firsts in its time, but this one was pretty darn major: The Vogue World: Paris runway show celebrating 100 years of sporting style held this past June on the eve of the haute couture in the hallowed ground that is Place Vendome; it’s one of the city’s most iconic addresses and a fashion show had never been held before on the place’s historic cobbles. Thanks to French director Loic Prigent, who caught all the action—Sabrina Carpenter! Aya Nakamura! Kendall and Gigi horse riding!—for a special documentary that will premiere at Forces of Fashion.

Victoria’s Reign with Victoria Beckham and Anna Wintour
Victoria Beckham Creative Director, Victoria Beckham
Anna Wintour Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast, Global Editorial Director of Vogue
2:45 PM

The recent news that Netflix is making a documentary on Victoria Beckham came as little surprise: Her entire life, after all, seems absolutely made for the screen. After the kind of pop career that set the world alight, she has proven that lightning does indeed strike twice: Beckham has now had her own label since 2008, fashioning it with a strong sense of her own style and identity. More recently, she decamped her runway show to Paris, raising the stakes even further—and winning. She and Anna Wintour chat about the road of building a fashion and beauty empire, to what makes the English take on fashion so unique (hint: it’s the humor), and why family is absolutely everything.

Nicki Reloaded
Nicki Minaj ,
Eva Chen Vice President of Fashion, Meta
3:15 PM

Global icon Nicki Minaj is the Queen of Hip-Hop, a multi-hyphenate—mother, musician, performer, writer, and businesswoman—who triumphs at all of them. Yet she’s also known for her singular style: Few could pull off her colorful, maximalist looks, which have taken us from Tokyo to South Jamaica, Queens and everywhere in between. Eva Chen, Vice President of Fashion at META, is in conversation with the woman who has broken so many records—though she’s just getting started.

Jordan Roth Multi-Disciplinary Artist, Fashion Expressionist, and Seven-Time Tony Award-Winning Producer,
3:45 PM

The iconic Jean Paul Gaultier built his decades-long career on wildly inventive creative approaches to his collections and groundbreaking runway shows. Who else would have had tattooed warriors, Hollywood sirens, S&M acolytes, Madonna wheeling a baby carriage—with her chihuahua in it!—and Vogue’s very own Hamish Bowles in Weimar-esque drag? (And that’s just a fraction of what the inimitable Monsieur Gaultier has done!) Jordan Roth chats with one of our very, very greatest designers about a life of fashion and fun—and a soupcon of infamy.
