Taylor Thompson’s journey began with a leap of faith at 18, leaving his hometown of Oakland to pursue education in the heart of New York City. Immersed in the dynamic art and music scenes of downtown Manhattan, he refined his skills by assisting influential artists like Desi Santiago and esteemed costume designer Zaldy Goco.

By the age of 19, Thompson had secured a coveted position as an assistant designer at Hood By Air, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience and insight into the fashion industry. Seeking further growth, Thompson expanded his horizons in 2018 with a transformative stint in Paris under the guidance of renowned designer Marine Serre.

Throughout Thompson’s career, he’s been fortunate to collaborate with some of the most innovative minds in fashion, honing his craft and absorbing diverse influences along the way.
