Speaker Bio
Through a balance of formality and sensuality, Grace Ling wants to create garments that make the people wearing them feel empowered.

While in school, Ling held design internships at Thom Browne and The Row, and also spent a year at Central Saint Martins. Before pursuing fashion, she studied fine arts and sculpture, using technology like 3D-printing. Having also modeled in fashion since the age of 16, Ling had many opportunities to work both in front and behind the camera, and played the role of a Bridesmaid in the Hollywood movie, Crazy Rich Asians.
In the middle of 2020 during the pandemic, Ling founded her eponymous label, GRACE LING. By 2022, the brand had scaled and was picked up by NET-A-PORTER. In the same year, Ling was listed as Asia’s Forbes 30 under 30, handpicked to exhibit at The MET Costume Institute, and dressed celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Karlie Kloss, Ashley Graham, Emma Chamberlain, and more.
In 2023, Ling debuted her SS24 runway on the Official CFDA Calendar. In 2024, Ling received the first ever CFDA x Genesis House Innovation Grant. The this grant she has been able to scale her business to over 10 major department stores wholesale, as well as DTC, and is now looking to open a physical store.
