Tonne Goodman has been Vogue’s fashion director since 2000. She is responsible for producing the great majority of the covers, as well as creating fashion stories that visually report on current and upcoming fashion trends. She began her career at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, working for the Costume Institute as a special assistant to Diana Vreeland. After the Costume Institute and before joining Vogue, she was a fashion reporter at The New York Times Magazine, a contributing fashion editor at Life magazine, vice president of advertising at Calvin Klein, and fashion director at Harper’s Bazaar under Elizabeth Tilberis. She is a true New Yorker, born and raised in Manhattan.
