Nicole Phelps is the director of Vogue Runway. In this position, which she’s held since 2015, she oversees all of Vogue.com’s fashion-show content, working with staff and freelance contributors to review thousands of runway shows each year. Post-graduation from Wesleyan University, Phelps moved to New York and, after a brief stint in public relations, began her career in fashion at WWD and W magazine. Five years as Elle magazine’s fashion news editor were followed by a 10-year stint as executive editor of Style.com, where she reviewed runway shows in New York, Milan, and Paris, and shaped the influential website’s daily content. Phelps wrote the introduction to Maria Cornejo: Zero, to be published by Rizzoli in September. She lives in the East Village with her husband and son.
